Your health and that of your family is of the utmost concern to Women’s Medical Associates of Nashville (WMA). We are taking steps to reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19 to our patients and staff and will therefore be offering limited services for at least the next 6 weeks or until May 10th, 2020 unless other CDC or State guidance comes out.
Appointments: In an effort to keep everyone safe and healthy, we are only allowing patients into our office at this time. Spouses, partners and other family members are no longer able to attend appointments in the clinic or wait in our waiting area. We appreciate your patience, help and understanding in this process as our patients and their babies' well being is our top priority.
Telemedicine: To better serve our patients, we have decided to offer telemedicine to our patients. Telemedicine is where the patient requests to speak with an OB/GYN physician about an issue they are having via either a phone call to our office 615-329-6745 or through the “contact form” of our website. An appointment time will be made that is mutually agreeable the same day – you will be sent a consent form to agree to have a telemedicine encounter with the physician. These telemedicine encounters are billed to your insurance and most insurance companies have waived co-pays for these visits during this COVID-19 outbreak.
OB Patients: We will continue to see our OB patients in the office, per current CDC guidelines. Hospital protocols limiting visitors have changed significantly, and we recommend patients check those websites for updates.
Additionally, for OB patients who are planning to breastfeed, please bring your own breast pump to the hospital due to low supplies.
GYN Patients: We will be rescheduling ALL annual/well woman visits starting Monday 3/23/3020. Someone from the office will contact patients affected by this change in the next week to reschedule their appointments. We will continue to see urgent problem visits in the office.
Please DO NOT come to the office if you are having respiratory symptoms (cough, congestion, shortness of breath). Also, those patients who are immunocompromised or otherwise at an increased risk of complications from COVID-19 should not come to the office. Please call our office if you need special assistance and are in one of these high-risk groups.
Please know that we are doing our best to be available to our patients who need care, while following the recommendations of the CDC. We thank you for your understanding.
